Wakonda Baptist Church gives Kids Against Hunger a Boost! 11/27/2007 Kids Against Hunger of Des Moines packaged 11,016 meals at its last event. Thank you to the volunteers who helped this past weekend. A special thank you to Wakonda Baptist Church for coorindating a special packaging event this past Wednesday. They succeeded their packaging goal, and packaged a total of 22,680 meals! The 11,016 meals packaged Saturday and Wakonda Baptist's event brings us to a total of 1,421,183 meals packaged so far! Kids Against Hunger of Des Moines will be packaging meals again on November 24th at 10 AM – Noon at Holmes Automotive Group. We are located off of I-80/I-35 and Hickman Road in Clive, Iowa.
