Kids Against Hunger™ was founded by Richard Proudfit, a Minnesota businessman. More than 30 years ago, Mr. Proudfit went to Honduras as a volunteer following a devastating hurricane there. Profoundly affected by the starvation he saw among the children of that country, Mr. Proudfit made a conscious decision to commit his life and financial resources towards the enormous problem of world hunger.

Fueled by an intense passion and with extensive knowledge in manufacturing and distribution, Proudfit enlisted leading executives at Cargill, Pillsbury, General Mills and Archer Daniels Midland to formulate a food that would meet all the nutritional requirements of severely malnourished children for physical growth and mental development. The result was the creation of a balanced, high nutrition food that can reverse the starvation process, and restore a child's
health and mental alertness.

Currently, Kids Against Hunger has a national packaging network made up of the headquarters facility in New Hope, Minnesota, a packaging division in Mankato, Minnesota and satellites in nine states and Canada, including our office in Des Moines, Iowa. Our aim is for our meals to provide a stable nutritional base from which the recipient peoples can move their families from starvation to self-sufficiency.

Richard Proudfit saw a need and took action. He has dedicated more than 30 years to feeding starving children. With the help of compassionate people who have donated time and resources, he is seeing his vision come true.
Kids Against Hunger™ packages a rice-soy casserole fortified with 21 essential vitamins and nine minerals, dehydrated vegetables and chicken flavoring. This protein and nutrient-rich formula reverses the starvation process and improves physical health, as well as the child's mental capacity to learn.

This casserole, with seven dried vegetables and more than 20 vitamins and minerals, was created by a team of food scientists to fight the affects of starvation and cause the human body to begin recovery from starvation.

Each 13.8oz bag contains six 1-cup meals at the cost of 25 cents per meal. By adding the contents of one bag to six cups of boiling water and cooking for 20 minutes, it truly is so easy to fix.

Simply said, this is the answer to our world hunger problem. Because of its formulation, it can be used by any culture around the world.
